USB-IF to Showcase SuperSpeed USB and Wireless USB at CeBIT 2009 in Hall 13, Stand No. D41-5 in the IPCentral / WIRELESSWorld Exhibit Area
(via Press Release from the USB IF – February 19, 2009) Hannover, Germany – The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) announces that it will host the USB Techzone at CEBIT 2009 where the latest developments and products using Wireless USB and SuperSpeed USB technology will be presented.
WHAT: The world’s most ubiquitous consumer electronics interconnect will be featured at CeBIT 2009 in Hannover, Germany. The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) will show demonstrations of cutting edge technologies, devices and scenarios using Wireless USB and the new SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0), which promises speeds up to 10x faster than Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0). WHO: USB Implementers Forum
EVENT: USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) president and chairman Jeff Ravencraft will speak about USB, the most ubiquitous consumer device interconnect in the world. His discussion will focus on the latest consumer technologies using WUSB including mobile phones, cameras and printers. Ravencraft will also provide an update on the next generation of USB technology – SuperSpeed USB – which will enable transfer rates up to ten times the transfer rates of Hi-Speed USB, and will be backward compatible with the billions of USB devices in the market today.
