(via Press Release from Wisair – March 3, 2009) Hannover, Germany – Wisair, a leading provider of single-chip based Wireless USB solutions, today announced that Wireless USB adapters based on its single-chip technology will be shown at CeBIT. The adapters from Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Olidata S.p.A will be displayed at the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) booth at CeBIT, Hall 13, Stand D41.
The Wireless USB adapter sets allow users to convert their existing wired USB devices—such as hard disk drives, printers, digital still cameras, camcorders and CD/DVD, into Wireless USB devices. Devices can be placed anywhere in the room, without the limitations of USB cable length, and be accessed wirelessly from users’ laptops/desktop.

“Worldwide availability of Wireless USB products is a natural step in the market adoption of Wireless USB,” said Jeff Ravencraft, USB-IF president and chairman. “Wisair’s offering is an important contribution to the global availability of Wireless USB solutions.”
David Yaish, Wisair President and CEO noted “products based on our WSR601 single chip benefit from our single SKU solutions, can be deployed worldwide and be offered at attractive, low prices to end users.“
