(via Web Research – April 5, 2010) Based on wireless technology from Wisair, a leading provider of single-chip based WUSB solutions, the Digicom USB Wave A/V consists of a WUSB dongle that connects to your laptop and a receiver that connects to your HDTV or projector and speakers. The small PC adapter connects to a USB port available in all notebooks & PC’s, and the A/V Adapter connects to an HDMI port (available in at screen TVs) or VGA port (available in projectors and monitors). Stereo audio is supported via the HDMI port (along with the video) or via a seperate 3.5mm audio jack for a complete wireless audio/video experience.
The USB Wave A/V set provides full room coverage, is easy to set up and use and is an ideal solution for home and office users alike. In a conference room scenario, the USB Wave A/V set enables users to display content from their notebooks using a projector, commonly mounted on the room’s ceiling, without cable length limitation and without the need to route dedicated wiring through the walls and the ceiling.
