As WUSB gets ready to come to market it appears that, a big push to get the word out and tout the benefits of “Certified” Wireless USB is getting underway. A TV promotion for wireless USB has made its way to YouTube showing people streaming video and photos as well as sending images from wireless USB equipped phones to TVs, PCs, and printers. The commercial claims there are over 2 billion USB connections in the world, and I can believe it. I have about 20 USB connections in my own home and I shudder to think about the amount over in Japan where every odd gadget seems to come with a USB connection. The days of digging around for the USB cable to send pictures from my camera to my PC are numbered. Lets hope wireless USB equipped gadgets hit the store shelves sooner rather than later.
